Summer Algebra Tutoring
Overview: Foundations of Algebra is a first year high school mathematics course. The tutoring will provide one on one sessions during 45 minute appointments. Tutoring is aimed at students who have demonstrated difficulty Algebra or previous mathematics courses. In many cases, students enter middle school with the same mathematics difficulties that inhibit their success in algebra.

Aquaponics 101
Overview: Let’s learn aquaponics! Aquaponics is the combination of aquaculture (raising fish) and hydroponics growing plants without using soil, such that students are able to learn to grow fish and plants together in one system.

Animation 101: History and Fundamentals
Overview: This is a behind the scenes look at how Pixar artists do their jobs. You will be able to animate bouncing balls, build a swarm of robots, and make virtual fireworks explode. The subjects you learn in school — math, science, computer science, and humanities — are used every day to create amazing movies.
Grade: 6th – 8th

CODING WITH SPHERO ROBOT
Overview: Students from elementary school to college courses can learn with Sphero – the only thing that changes is the software. Beginner programmers will learn procedural thinking and basic programming skills. You will learn to arrange commands and settings in any combination to make Sphero do your bidding. You can easily create a macro to have Sphero flash a color sequence. Boom, now you’re a programmer.
